A read, if you will. Notes from the mind of a creative.

Confession #1: My anxiety has been at an all-time high. From work stress to delays on outside ventures. My breathing techniques haven’t even been helping like they normally do.

Confession #2: As of one week ago, I picked up 4 pounds and it’s been driving me nuts (clearly finding too much pleasure in comfort food). It has made me trick myself into believing that I’m becoming both lazy and out of shape.

Confession #3: I’ve been over eager. I have been wanting more from my own life and not a clue on where to start. Do you know that feeling of having lack of motivation while still craving success simultaneously? My life.

but… TGIF. Thank God I’m Faithful.

Proverbs 28:20 (NIV) states, “A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.”

In our fast-paced world, it can be so easy to get caught up in the journey of other people. People who seem to be getting those opportunities, taking those leaps of faith, and making those efforts to become better. We become so committed to admiring and sometimes envying the work of others, but how committed are you to the plan that God has created just for you?

Today’s Keyword: faith (n.): confidence or trust in a person or thing; a strong belief in God

Having faith requires a strong sense of self and in God, even when it seems like life isn’t working out the way you want. I’m not happy with where I am as of now but I trust that He is preparing me for something greater. I no longer question “why me?”, rather I pray longer and harder for the clarity and strength to stay afloat even amidst chaos.

You know, some days I doubt my worth. I question if the things that I put out into the world are helping people grow mentally or inspiring them to be their best selves. But I refuse to lose faith in all that he’s preparing for me.

The end goal may seem blurry right now. The roadblocks might appear to be the reigning champs. But you have the power to take back control of your life and with faith, anything is possible.

Thank God it’s Friday and Thank God I’m Faithful,

Thanks for being so open and transparent. Sometimes my anxiety can get the best of me too.
